GEO BOND 2.0
GEO BOND 2.0 is a revolutionary polymer system designed to maximize core recovery and performance in diamond drilling operations. GEO BOND 2.0 stabilizes unconsolidated formations and protects the core from wash out by forming a polymeric lattice over the drilled surfaces. It coats the surface of the sample as it is being drilled with a protective polymer web and builds a tough and impermeable wall cake that is far superior to using bentonite. GEO BOND 2.0 helps to preserve the core sample in its natural state offering higher quality resource assessment. GEO BOND 2.0 has unique micro particle polymers that create a physical barrier and greatly reduce the filtrate that can travel into the formation. These polymers help block fractures in the core and bore hole wall, keeping the core in a pristine state and increased bore hole stability
Application
GEO BOND 2.0 is a one sack drilling fluid developed specifically for the diamond drilling market to solve core recovery issues, stabilize loose and fractured formations and maintain bore hole and core integrity. To date the GEO BOND 2.0 has been run on several sites around Australia and South East Asia. At each of these sites, it has been run as a replacement for a traditional Bentonite and PAC based drilling fluid and on each occasion the GEO BOND 2.0 has outperformed the Gel and PAC based programs with both core recovery and hole stability.
Advantages
- One sack drilling fluid and economical to use
- Build an extremely effective wall cake
- Increases core recovery and core quality
- Easily mixes and works in most water types
- Enhances the removal of drill solids
- Non-hazardous and environmentally acceptable.
